So all of humanity, regardless of what you believe, even the most hardcore atheist, all of humanity was made in the image of God, period. Right? So our core purpose from the beginning was to be image-bearers.

Another goal that I have just in general, especially here in Houston, is connecting with other entrepreneurs and kind of getting outside of the Internet bubble. I'm just really getting plugged in into the Houston entrepreneurial space and I'm the first one to tell you that people reflect back what you believe about yourself.

How do you become the woman that is always on point? You walk into a room, all eyes are on you, just graceful, just got it all together. How do you become that?

I still believe that every person, every American, every human being on the globe, anybody listening to this podcast, if they're serious about building wealth, you got to own a business, particularly in America. I've said it before, I say it all the time.

Maybe your routine is structured in such a way that you don't realize it, but it's causing you to fail essentially.

Part of the reason why you're taking two steps back is that you're not really taking a step forward. You're taking a step forward in your brain and your ideas, but you're not really giving yourself something to work with.

And so "The Story of a Black Girl and Her Money" is actually 10 years in the making. This is something that I started actually back in college just for fun. And when I first got into blogging, I was in credit card debt and I had all my drama at school. I mean, you know my story and everything that I was going through.

I’m letting go of affirmations. I want to know what does God says about me. That’s the truth. Scriptures went around, uh, for a very long time. God has been around since the beginning of time. I’m pretty sure of what he says. If He said it then and it was true, then it is true now.

Stop comparing yourself, stop looking around and what other people are doing and be the CEO of your own business.
